Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

Beware of coming to this place because it is advertised that they do free engine checks. I brought my Kia into Pep Boys for them to do an engine check. They were supposed to do a simple scan of my engine that was free of charge to let me know what was wrong but instead they did an advanced diagnostic. They didn’t tell me that’s what they were doing and at the end they told it cost $100. I later returned and told them about their website and how it’s advertised that they do free engine scans and that I wanted a refund but instead the manager told me that because my car is a Kia they’re charging me $100. Doesn’t make any sense I do not recommend this place. 👎

Had blow out with my tire. I called and asked for walk in availability and they welcomed me in an instant. Talked to Crystal(she’s the best)about what I needed for my situation. She was honest, and to the point about what I needed. She never gave me the run around. Thanks to her, James and Eli(super cool techs), I was in then out and on the road again in no time. They are willing and ready to work with you and not push you to spend unnecessary money. Thanks for the welcoming and hard working services you provided for me!

This place is a great experience and wasn't hard on my wallet. I had a unexpected AC Discharge hose blowout on me at a stoplight the night before, next day I booked an appointment, showed up and they fixed it, in record time like 5 hours and done for me to pick it back up. Even did an alignment with rotate and balance. It was an easy drive home with cold air and a straight driving pickup. Thanks Jason and crew!

Today I took my work vehicle in for an alignment and had a great experience. Jason, the store manager, was friendly, professional, and provided excellent customer service from the moment I arrived. He took the time to explain the process, answered my questions, and made sure everything was taken care of. It's refreshing to work with someone who genuinely cares about their customers. I highly recommend this shop and appreciate Jason's outstanding service. *UPDATE* I originally gave this location a 5-star review because of the excellent customer service I received from Jason, the store manager, during my first visit. Unfortunately, after returning because my vehicle continued pulling to the right after the alignment, my experience was very different. When I arrived, Jason was outside the store and asked what the issue was. After I explained that the alignment still wasn't right, his demeanor immediately changed. He appeared frustrated, spoke in a loud tone, and told his assistant, "He's back," in a way that made me feel like I had done something wrong by returning with a legitimate concern. To their credit, they checked the alignment and found that it was slightly out of specific

If it is not 2002D East central Texas expressway you tripping. They treat you like family there. I never had a mechanic to make sure I’m straight before I leave on everything with every light or issue. Gets you in and out. Talk to James or Mark.
